The ten-year old ran to his residence and notified his parent immediately of what had happened. The subject was described as a white male in his 40’s with no facial hair and short brown hair. Anyone with information regarding this incident may contact the Platte County Sheriff’s Office at 816-858-3521.
Sheriff Owen is reminding residents of Platte County to talk to their children about what to do if their child is approached by a stranger. A plan to go to a safe place where the child can be with a known/trusted adult is recommended.
