Two in northwest Missouri make Missourians top 50

50 Missourians You Should Know logoCorrection: Two people in northwest Missouri made it into onto Ingram’s “50 Missourians You Should Know” last year.

A Northwest Missouri State University Police Chief and a St. Joseph Businessman have made it onto the Kansas City business magazine’s list in its Feb. 2015 edition.

Clarence Green is the chief of university police at Northwest.  Green’s biography in the top 50 list said two changes have roiled campus policing, both of which flow from federal regulations regarding reporting campus crime.

Dick DeShon, a businessman from St. Joseph is the other local who made the list.

DeShon’s biography highlights his career working with Artesian Ice & Cold Storage for 57 years as well as his involvement with various boards such as the Community Foundation of Northwest Missouri and the Pony Express Museum as well as his work on the Port Authority Board.
