
Dr. Brian Shindorf, Director of Elementary Education for the St. Joseph School District, has submitted his resignation.
His last day with the district will be June 30, 2016.
Dr. Shindorf has resigned to take the position of Director of Elementary Education for the Jefferson City Public School District.
“Dr. Shindorf has been a loyal and valued employee for 30 years in the St. Joseph School District,” said Dr. Robert Newhart, Superintendent. “We wish him the best and know he will be an excellent addition to the leadership of the Jefferson City Public Schools.”
Dr. Shindorf was hired in 1986 as a custodian at Humboldt Elementary School. He then pursued his education degree and became a teacher at Humboldt. Shindorf also served as principal at (then) Webster Elementary School and Bessie Ellison School. Dr. Shindorf was hired in 2006 as Assistant Director of Elementary Education and in 2013 became the Director of Elementary Education.
The St. Joseph School District will post the job for Director of Elementary Education on the district website.
Some other recent resignations include: Amy Todd, Director of Human Resources who submitted her resignation earlier this month. In December, Dr. Sandy Steggall submitted her resignation as Director of Secondary Education to accept a position with the Clinton County R-III School District as Superintendent of Schools.
