A boil advisory is in effect for many customers near Lake Contrary.

A spokeswoman with the Public Water Supply District says a boil advisory was issued at 5:30 p.m. Monday for customers on Contrary Creek Road to Lake Contrary.  She said it only effects public water supply district 1.

The boil advisory was due to a loss in pressure for the public water supply district after Missouri American Water had a water main break.

The boil advisory remains in place until at least 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
