ConAgra Foods plans to shutdown its Trenton plant.

ConAgra Foods is a packaged food company that includes brands like Reddi Wip, SlimJim, Hunts and Rotel.

Dan Hare a spokesman for ConAgra Foods said earlier this week the company informed employees in the Trenton plant of the plan to close that facility in 2018.

“The decision was made following a careful evaluation of our overall plant network,” Hare said. “Closing the facility is necessary for the company to operate as efficiently as possible and remain competitive.”

395 positions will be lost as a result of the plant closure. Hare said the cuts will be made between June, 2017 and the summer of 2018.
