Berniece Genevieve Burnsides
1917-2016

Burnsides, Berniece. obitphotoBerniece Genevieve Burnsides, 98, Maryville, Missouri passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Parkdale Manor in Maryville, Missouri.
She was born August 5, 1917 to Delbert and Ada (McAfee) Bridges in Forbes, Missouri where she grew up and attended school.
Berniece married Ray Felix Burnsides in 1934. She was a homemaker and worked at the Craig Post Office as an Assistant Postmaster. Berniece was a member of the First Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 62 years, Ray (1996); son, Jim (2009); and sisters, Sarah “Sadie” Hall and Mary Cotton.
Survivors include sons, Bill Burnsides (Janet), Mound City, Missouri and Mike Burnsides (Linda), Mound City, Missouri; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Burnsides, Maryville, Missouri; grandchildren, Mark Burnsides, Teresa Burnsides, Cheri Patterson, Annette Burnsides, Nina Norton, Lori Dryer, Paula Burnsides and Anthony Burnsides; fourteen great-grandchildren; and fifteen great-great-grandchildren.

normNorman Bruce Ellis, Jr., 44, Atchison, Kansas died Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Mosaic Life Care, St. Joseph, Missouri.
Funeral services will be Friday, March 18, 2016 at 1:30 P.M. at Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, St. Joseph, Missouri. Visitation with the family will be Thursday, March 17th from 6:30 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home to defray funeral expenses.
Norman was born March 25, 1971 in Kansas City, Kansas the son of Norman Bruce Ellis, Sr., and Linda Willmeth Ellis. He attended Atchison schools and an electronic institute for two years.
He and Teresa Clark were united in marriage on September 16, 1989 in Atchison, Kansas. They were later divorced.
Mr. Ellis worked as a brick layer for many years as a member of the brick layers union. He had also formerly worked for J. E. Dunn Construction Company in Kansas City.
Survivors include his mother, Linda (Mike) Piper, Atchison, KS, two sons, Norman Bruce Ellis, III, Atchison, KS, Jesse Aaron Ellis, Atchison, KS, two daughters, Amber Dawn Ellis (Josh Coleman) Connersville, IN, Alyssa Marie Ellis, Atchison, KS, a brother, John Ellis, Atchison, KS, a sister, Michelle Drimmel, Atchison, KS and five grandchildren.

Karrie Lynn Williams
1967-2016

karrieKarrie Lynn (Sampson) Williams 48, of Saint Joseph, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Mosaic Life Care hospital. She was born August 13, 1967 in St. Joseph, MO, daughter of Rosie and Lawrence R. Sampson. She graduated from Central Class of 1985 and was a beautician at Ultra Salon and a Hair Stylist for 25 years. She enjoyed playing pool, scrap booking, and making jewelry. She loved Kid Rock and going to concerts, and she was a Christian. Karrie was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence R. Sampson. Survivors include, mother, Rosie Sampson of Saint Joseph, MO, daughters, Cayla and Chloe Williams, a sister, Amy Lieffring of Easton, MO, aunts, Darlene Sampson of St. Joseph, MO, Janice (Gary) Kerns of Agency, MO, Pat (Clay) Jennings of Kansas City, MO, uncle, George (Barb) Woyski of Agency, MO, maternal grandmother, Lorene Hogan of Agency, MO, former husband, Curt Williams, nieces and nephews, Taylor Walker, Mallie, Hunter & Stetson Lieffring.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm, on Friday, March 18, 2016 at Rupp Funeral Home, with Pastor Earnestine Blakley officiating, The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday at the Rupp Funeral Home. The Interment will be at the Westlawn Cemetery . Memorials are requested to the Children’s Scholarship Fund, in care of the Rupp Funeral Home.
