One local organization is trying to raise awareness on the value of dog therapy and comfort for dogs.

Domesti-PUPS plans to hold a program March 26 at 11 a.m. the Andrew County Museum to tackle the issue. Participants will hear about the research into the benefits of “pet therapy” for overall mental, physical and emotional health.

Museum admission is free for the event.

Donations are suggested to support the non-profit program.

The Andrew County Museum is located at 202 E. Duncan Drive in Savannah.
