
A St. Joseph man has been charged after allegedly pointing a handgun at two people over the weekend.
Angel Martinez-Torres, 37 of St. Joseph was charged Monday in Buchanan County with a felony for unlawful use of a weapon.
According to court documents, Officers responded to the 600 block of N. 23rd Sunday around 10 a.m. in reference to a disturbance call involving a man reportedly waving a gun.
Officer Fritz Adams said a woman told officers that Martinez-Torres who goes by “Tony” was holding a handgun which he pointed at her face and poked her forehead with the barrel of the gun.
“Said Tony had pointed the gun at another person whose name she did not know” Adams said. “St. Joseph Police Officer M. Kneib located a loaded handgun behind the stove in the kitchen.”
Martinez-Torres is being held on $15,000 cash only bond. An arraignment is set for Friday.
