Wintery weather contributes to injury crash

MSHP patchWintery weather contributed to a three-vehicle crash in Daviess County Saturday night that sent one of the drivers to the hospital.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says Ross Taggart lost control of his car on a slush-covered bridge along I-35 two miles south of Pattonsburg at 11:23 p.m. The Ford Focus crashed into a bridge wall, then returned to the roadway and was hit by a semi. The vehicle hit the other bridge wall, then returned to the roadway where it was hit by a pickup truck.

Mr Taggart, 25, of Overland Park, was transported to Cameron Regional medical Center with moderate injuries. There were no other injuries reported.
