The man accused of trying to run over a Buchanan County deputy leading the deputy to discharge his weapon at Taco Bell last week made his first court appearance Tuesday.

Leonard Barr, 24 of St. Joseph is charged with felonies for first-degree tampering and second-degree assault of a law enforcement officer.  He appeared by video conference from the Buchanan County Law Enforcement Center in front of Judge Keith Marquart.
