MARYVILLE, Mo. – Beverly Schenkel, the dean of enrollment management at Northwest Missouri State University, recently was appointed to the Missouri Department of Higher Education’s Committee on Transfer and Articulation (COTA), which is responsible for studying and reviewing the policies and practices of Missouri’s higher education institutions regarding transfer issues for traditional and non-traditional credits.

The 12-member committee also reviews and recommends resolutions for appeals by students or institutions.

Schenkel has worked with articulation agreements and transfer policies at Northwest for 19 years. She also served on the COTA sub-committee assigned to develop and implement the Missouri Reverse Transfer Program, for which she was recognized in 2014.

“It is an honor to have been asked and appointed to serve on the COTA committee,” Schenkel said. “It means a great deal to me that my statewide colleagues have the confidence in me to be a voice and advocate for fair and equitable transfer policies and practices among Missouri institutions.”
