You can watch some “extreme cowboy” racing this weekend at Mozingo Lake, as the Mid Central Horsemen present their Spring Gathering.  Riders from across the country are expected which is sanctioned by the national Extreme Cowboy Association.

There will be races Saturday starting at 9 a.m. near the Equestrian RV campground on the west side of the reservoir.  Additional races are scheduled April 30, May 14 and May 15.  The Missouri State Championships are  scheduled May 21 and May 22 at the Von Holten Ranch in Mora, Missouri in Benton County.

About 60 riders from across the country are expected for the first races Saturday.
