St. Joseph police dispatchers received several calls of shots fired in the Midtown area early Thursday morning.

Among the officers responding was St. Joseph Police Sergeant Wayne Byrom, who says to their knowledge no one was hurt, and they found no damage. Officers did find several spent shell casings in the street north of 18th and Sylvanie Streets.

The call came in around 4:20 a.m. An investigation continues.
