H. Arlene “Toots” Tritten
1936-2016

Tritten, Hazel. edited obitphotoArlene Tritten, 79, Savannah, Missouri passed away peacefully Thursday, April 7, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family and pastor.
She was born September 10, 1936 in Helena, Missouri.
Arlene married Dale Tritten on April 23, 1955 at the Union Star United Methodist Church.
She was a member and very active with the Helena United Methodist Church and loved to entertain.
She enjoyed baking, cooking, her flower gardens, taking lunch to the field, and taking care of her family, most of all her only grandchild, Wade.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arlin and Hazel (Adams) Baker; and brothers, Jerry and Donald Baker.
Survivors include husband of 60 years, Dale; daughters, Gail Tritten (David Petty), Kansas City, Missouri and Christine Latham (Chris), Savannah, Missouri; grandson, Wade Latham, Savannah, Missouri; sister, Carol Krause (Layne); brother, Gene Baker (Iva); sister-in-law, Alice Baker; numerous nieces, nephews and a multitude of friends.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Arlene’s caregivers, the Mosaic Hospice Team and Pastor Bob Caldwell.
Farewell Services 10:00 A.M. Monday, Helena United Methodist Church. Interment Helena Cemetery, Helena, Missouri. The family will gather with friends 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. Sunday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Mrs. Tritten will be removed from Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory to arrive at the church one hour prior to the service. Cynthia “Cindy” Marlow
1951-2016

Cynthia “Cindy” Marlow, 64, St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Thursday, April 7, 2016 at her home.
She was born June 27, 1951 in Ottawa, Kansas. She grew up in Osawatomie, Kansas and formerly resided in Blue Springs, Missouri for 18 years.
Cindy liked to read and loved taking care of her cats.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Effie (Patton) McMahon.
Survivors include her son, Daniel Marlow, St. Joseph, Missouri.

Susan Marie Potter
1955-2016

susSusan Marie Potter 60, of Saint Joseph, Missouri, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2016 at Mosaic Life Care Hospital, Saint Joseph, MO. She was born December 17, 1955 in Des Plaines, IL, daughter of Georgia and Roy McGarrah. She graduated from Central High School and Missouri Western State College with a Bachelor of Arts in Arts Education in 1975. She married Whitney “Nick” Potter May 11, 2006 and he survives of the home. She worked at Sherwood Medical from 1980 – 1993 when it closed during the flood of 93. She enjoyed growing tomatoes, and plants, fishing and loved to cook, and attend family outings. She was a member of the Christ Episcopal Church. Susan was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Nancy McGarrah. Survivors include, husband, Whitney “Nick” Potter of Saint Joseph, MO, a daughter, Kelly (Jordan) Siewert of Toledo, OH, 2 grandchildren, Natalie and Lucas, three sisters, Tina (Dennis) McGarrah-Vance of Saint Joseph, MO, Maureen (William) Floyd of Lees Summit, MO, and Pamela Galvan, one nephew, several nieces.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Tuesday with a funeral service to be conducted at 2:00 pm, on Tuesday, at Rupp Funeral Home, with Fr. George Cleaves officiating, The Interment will be at the Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials are requested to the Ronald McDonald House, or to the American Heart Fund. Sharon Kay Wilson
1948-2016

sharSharon Kay Wilson 67, of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2016 at Mosaic Life Care Hospital, Saint Joseph, MO. She was born September 29, 1948 in Weatherby, MO, daughter of Frances and Covel Helms. She graduated from Winston High School and Casper’s Beauty School in St. Joseph. She married Mike Wilson April 30, 1977 he preceded her in death March 31, 2008. She worked at Jimmy’s LeFemme as a Beautician. She was an amazing cook, who loved to fish, sew, and can foods. She was involved with vacation bible school at Copeland Baptist and New Home Baptist Church, and was a member of New Home Baptist Church . Sharon was preceded in death by husband, and her parents. Survivors include, son, Doug (Carrie) Wilson of Saint Joseph, MO, step daughter, Suze (Allen) Jackson and stepson, Chad (Heather) Wilson of St. Joseph, MO, three grandchildren, Christopher, Cameron, and Brook Wilson, a brother, Steve (Carol) Helms of Cameron, MO, seven sisters: identical twin Karen (Ivan) Gann of Stewartsville, MO, Linda (Bob) Schermerhorn of St. Joseph, MO, Beverly (Robert) Wattenbarger of Cameron, MO, Evelyn (Lynn) Banks of St. Joseph, MO, Debbie (Chuck) Kemmer of Easton, MO, and Brenda (Steve) Lee of Weatherby, MO.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am, on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at New Home Baptist Church, with Rev. Richard Wayne Tull
1943-2016

Richard Wayne Tull was born Monday, August 23rd, 1943; and passed Thursday, April 7th, 2016. Visitation will be held Monday, April 11th, 2016, 6:00pm – 8:00pm at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home. Services will take place Tuesday, April 12th, 2016, 2:00pm; officiating Pastor Phillip O’Reilly, at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Chapel. Interment located at Sumner Cemetery.

Richard J. Hollopeter
1923-2016

Hollopeter, Richard. obitphotoRichard J. Hollopeter, 92, Amazonia, Missouri passed away Friday, April 8, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born September 6, 1923 in Edgerton, Illinois and graduated from Reynolds High School in 1942. He spent most of his adult life in Andrew County.
He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II from 1942-1945. He was very proud of being able to witness the raising of the flag at Iwo Jima.
He then worked for Crane Construction Company in Savannah, Missouri as the Superintendent for 17 years. Richard was the co-owner of the Dairy Queen in Savannah, Missouri from 1972-1977.
Richard married Dorothy Horn on December 7, 1946. She preceded him in death on October 27, 1979.
He was a member of Rosendale Christian Church. He and his good friend, Dorothy Griggs enjoyed wintering in Central Florida. He loved woodworking and NASCAR, especially Kyle Busch. Most of all he loved his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy; parents, John and Marie (McGinnis) Hollopeter-Humes; and two sisters.
Survivors include daughters, Cheryl Atkins (Danny), Rea, Missouri and Teryl Uehlin, St. Joseph, Missouri; three grandchildren, Rich Atkins (Tammy), Fillmore, Missouri, Brad Atkins (Valerie), Savannah, Missouri and Mark Uehlin (Candice), Amazonia, Missouri; ten great-grandchildren, Kenny, Danny, Faith, Nate, Danielle, Ashlyn and Hope Atkins and Kameron, Karsyn and Kruze Uehlin; and good friend and companion of 36 years, Dorothy Griggs.

Ruth Jane Weingart
1921-2016

rMrs. R. Jane Weingart 94, Atchison, Kansas died at Sunrise of Leawood in Leawood, Kansas on April 8, 2016.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 AM on Tuesday April 12, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Church with Abbot Barnabas Senecal, OSB as celebrant. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be at 9:30 AM on Tuesday April 12, 2016 at the church with a parish rosary to be recited at 10:15 AM. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Benedict Catholic School and may be left in care of the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home with whom the final arrangements have been entrusted.
Jane was born in Atchison, Kansas the daughter of Charles I. and Anna Victoria Walz Hager. She was the youngest of six children
She and James G. Weingart were united in marriage on January 1946 at St. Benedict’s Church. Mr. Weingart preceded her in death on June 13, 1989.
Jane was a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. Retiring as the Manager of Operator Services after 40 years of service. Jane served on a number of Atchison women groups. She drove a number of patients to Kansas City for their doctors’ appointments. She loved her Big 8 and then Big 12 basketball attending the tournaments with her friends. She also enjoyed traveling, bridge and cocktail parties.
Survivors include a son Robert C. (Adair) Weingart, Lenexa, Kansas, two grandchildren, Jay (Erika) Bouck, Destin, Florida, Josh (Amy) Bouck, Austin, Texas, and four great grandchildren Lindsey, Ashley, Austin and Zoe.
She was preceded in death by her five siblings Walter Hager, Mabel Scarlett, Nobel Hager, Grace Runyan and Gladys Munson.
