One of those topics may be the new revelations regarding former Superintendent Dr. Dan Colgan’s retirement income.
Dr. Dan Colgan has been under investigation by, among others, the Missouri Public School Retirement System. KQTV-2 reported that Dr. Colgan must repay hundreds of thousands of dollars he’s received during his retirement over the last ten years.
The television station reported that Dr. Colgan used non-allowable items to calculate his salary and thus his pension payments. Among those were an annuity, a mileage and car allowance, health insurance and other non-allowable items. They reported about $660,000 that Colgan reportedly must pay back, and that these funds would come out of future pension payments.
Officials have said the exact amount of the repayment was not available Monday night.
