The St. Joseph Police Department is searching for a man after an attempted robbery was reported Wednesday at the Wood’s mini-mart in downtown.
Police said around 11 a.m. a call came into the communications center from an employee at the mini-mart located at 1334 Frederick. The employee allegedly reported he had a man display a knife and demand he open the register.
“The employee told him no and called 911,” said Capt. Jeff Wilson. “The suspect was still in the store and fled on foot prior to officer arrival.”
The suspect is described as a white man wearing a red shirt and blue jeans.
