Monthly CPR classes to be held in St. Joseph

St Joseph Health Dept logoThe City of St. Joseph Health Department is offering monthly CPR/AED and First Aid Classes.

Offerings include the American Heart Association Heartsaver® CPR/AED and Heartsaver® First Aid classes on the third Wednesday of the month for a fee.

The classes are open to the public and will be held in the 2nd Floor Conference Room at the City of St. Joseph Health Department at
904 South 10th Street.

Participants can take one or both Heartsaver® courses. The Heartsaver® CPR/AED will run from 8:00 a.m. to noon and Heartsaver® First Aid will be from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. on the third Wednesday of every month. On Wednesday, May 18th the sessions will be taught for the first time as a regular installment of the learning opportunities offered at the health department.

There will be skills testing for basic first aid skills and CPR and AED use, but no written exam. Pre-registration is required. Class size is limited to a maximum of eight participants. Please call 816-271-4725 and ask to be directed to either Stevie or Connie to reserve your spot.

The cost will be: Full Day of Heartsaver®s – $35.00
Heartsaver® CPR/AED (morning session only) – $25.00
Heartsaver® First Aid (afternoon session only) – $15.00
(fee includes Certification Card for successful completion of course and skills test)
