An investigation continues into the death of a prison inmate in Cameron last week.

The Missouri Department of Corrections announced that a 49-year-old man serving a life prison sentence died Friday, May 6, at the Crossroads Correctional Center. An autopsy was scheduled to determine the cause of death of Timothy Adams.

Mr Adams has been held since February of 2009 for his convictions in Howard County on charges of being an accessory to first degree murder and armed criminal action.
