The United Way needs more volunteers for their reading program this summer.

The United Way Reading Adventure is partnering with the YMCA school age childcare program at the Downtown Family Branch, the City REC Center school age childcare program and the St. Joseph School District extended summer programs at Humboldt and Edison elementary schools.

The YMCA program will be held May 17-June 7.

The Edison program will be June 13-27.

The Humboldt program will be June 15-July 13.

The City REC Center program will be held June 14-July 26.  

 

More volunteers are needed to read for a week or two or every week at any of the sites. Donations of new or gently used books for elementary age children are also needed.
