King, Scott. obitphotoScott W. King, 33, St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Sunday, May 15, 2016.
He was born July 10, 1982 in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Scott was a graduate of Savannah High School Class of 2001 and worked at Boehringer Ingelheim for two years as a machine operator.
He enjoyed driving his Jeep and riding motorcycles.
He was preceded in death by his father, Howard “Ace” King; paternal grandparents, Douglas King and Ruby Walker; and maternal grandfather, William Thompson.
Survivors include mother and step-father, Susan Simmons (Chuck); brothers, Chad King and Jamie King (Cynthia), St. Joseph, Missouri; two nieces; one nephew; maternal grandparents, Julia Franken (William), Troy, Kansas; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Rose E. “Rosie” Anderson

Anderson, Rose obit photoRose E. “Rosie” Anderson, 90, St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Sunday, May 15, 2016 at Mosaic Life Care.
She was born December 28, 1925 in St. Joseph, Missouri.
She retired from Whitacre Cable where she was a Cable Cutter and met her two best and lifelong friends, Betty and Veda.
Rose was a very nice Christian woman with only positive words and actions towards everyone she interacted with. She loved garage sales, collecting pretty rocks and shells and scrapbooking.
Miss Anderson was a member of the First Lutheran Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Nattie (Overmiller) Anderson; brother, Robert Anderson and his wife, Vanetta; and her two best friends, Betty Stephens and Veda Euler.
Survivors include her very close friends, who over the years became her family, Carolyn and Max Stephens and their children, Jim Stephens (Michael) and Kim Simmons (Ty); granddaughter, Shamarla Pointer (Ryan); and three great grandchildren, Riley, Raylin and Roein. She was also survived by other distant relatives.

Dencil “Denny” Allen Budgett
1951-2016

3721520_fbsDencil “Denny” Allen Budgett 65, of Leavenworth, Kansas, formerly of St. Joseph, MO passed away Sunday, May 15, 2016 in a Leavenworth Kansas Health care center. He was born March 2, 1951 in St. Joseph, MO, son of the late Mildred and Harold Budgett. He graduated from Benton high school in 1970 and served in the United States Air Force and is a veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked for the State of Kansas as a Tower & Antenna Specialist. He was a Life Member of the VFW Post 6760, and was a Christian. Survivors include son, Dencil Budgett of St. Joseph, MO, two daughters, Amy Budgett of Iola, KS, and Kimberly Bowen of Florida, 6 grandchildren 1 great grandchild, two brothers, Michael and William Budgett, a sister, Gail Rodewald of Wathena, KS, and caretaker and friend, Robert Reid of St. Joseph, MO.
Graveside funeral services and interment will be conducted on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at 10:00 am, at the Leavenworth National Cemetery, The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday at the Rupp Funeral Home.

 
Dawn Michele Brungardt
1968-2016

Dawn M. Brungardt, 47, Atchison, Kansas, died Monday, May 16, 2016, at Medicalodges Jackson County.
Funeral services will be Saturday, May 21, 2016, at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be Saturday, from 2:00 P.M. until time of services at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in Dawn’s memory may be left in care of the funeral home.
Dawn was born November 11, 1968, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Daniel and Mary Arnold Hall. She was a 1987 graduate of Atchison High School and attended Crumm Beauty School in St. Joseph, Missouri.
She was employed as a beautician. She was an avid softball player. She enjoyed bowling, camping, and spending time outdoors with her friends.
Dawn is survived by her sons, Blane Brungardt, Kansas City, MO, Brandon Brungardt, Victoria, KS, her father Dan Hall and step-mother M’Lissa Hall, Muscotah, KS, a brother Daniel Hall, Jr., St. Joseph, MO, and step-brother, Terry Crossland, Overland Park, KS.

Sara (Clark) Barton
1949-2016

She was born May 18, 1949 in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Sara married Harold Barton on February 14, 1989.
She worked for Friskies Pet Care for over 22 years. Her faith in God was important to her. She was of the Catholic faith and enjoyed attending church. Sara loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. She also had a love for reading and animals.
Sara was preceded in death by her parents, William and Edna (Sell) Clark; brothers, Michael and Jimmie Clark; and sister-in-law, Sharon Clark.
Survivors include husband, Harold; children, Tabatha Tavares (Daniel), Richard McPhail (Jessica) and Jamie McPhail (Mathew Gabbert); step-son, Brian Connacher; grandchildren, Alex, Christopher and Cassie Jackson; Arwen Tavares; Christian Stroud; Coty, Kaytlyn, Kylee, Kelsie and Kira McPhail; and Emmaryn Gabbert; great-grandchildren, Lillie Jackson and Karlee Stroud; brother, Robert G. Clark; and sisters-in-law, Diana Clark and Susan Clark.

She was born June 30, 1965 in Eldorado Springs, MO, daughter of Lora and Earnest Mooney. She graduated from Eldorado Springs High School and Vatterott. She married Ron Stanton September 7, 20003. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking and baking, flower gardening, fishing, playing darts and shooting guns. Patricia loved her animals and her dogs. She was very outspoken. Patricia was preceded in death by father, Earnest Mooney. Survivors include, husband, Ron Stanton of the home, mother, Lora Mooney of Amazonia, MO, 3 sons, Charles (Kim) Austin of Fillmore, MO, Randon Stanton and William Stanton both of Amazonia, MO, daughter, Courtney Seward of St. Joseph, MO, grandchildren, Autumn, Austin, Daisy and Kelley, Maison, sister, Lora Lee Alladin of CA, 2 brothers, Billy (Beth) Mooney and Willy (Michelle) Mooney all of Savannah, MO, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
