Northwest tennis falls to No. 1 Saint Leo in NCAA Quarterfinals

Northwest2013riggertThe No. 12 ranked Northwest Missouri State University men’s tennis team fell to No. 1 Saint Leo, 5-0, at the Gates Tennis Center in Denver, Colo.

The Bearcats (21-4) concluded the season by reaching the NCAA Quarterfinals for the second time in program history (2014).

St. Leo improves to 26-1 overall heading into the national semifinals.

The 2016 season marked the 11th straight season Northwest has made the NCAA Tournament the fourth straight year the team has played in the round of 16.

This was the first NCAA meeting between the two programs.
