St. Joseph police announce the arrests of two people in connection with a fatal shooting earlier this week.

In a news release, officials said two white males, ages 19 and 20, are in custody.

The pair are being held in connection with the fatal shooting of Skylar Powell.  As we reported earlier, Powell’s body was found in a parking lot near 22nd and Frederick early Wednesday morning.

Police say both subjects are Buchanan County residents.  By midday Thursday, no formal criminal charges had been filed.
