The St. Joseph Police Department has released the names of the individuals arrested on warrants after a more than 4-hour long standoff.

Capt. Jeff Wilson said both 45-year-old Kimberly Edwards and 24-year-old Anthony Edwards are in custody on active felony warrants after a standoff Tuesday on Linn St.

As we previously reported, police surrounded a home on the northwest corner of Linn after police said they received anonymous information regarding the possibility of a domestic disturbance involving a firearm.  Officers ended up taking the pair into custody shortly after 5:30 p.m.

“After obtaining the search warrant we took out the front window of the residence and we could obtain a view in there and established communication soon thereafter.  Two people voluntarily came out of the residence peacefully,” Wilson said previously.

Several roads in the area were shutdown while authorities were on scene and several homes next to the surrounded house were evacuated as a precaution.
