A trial setting is scheduled later this month for a 25-year-old St. Joseph woman accused in a traffic fatality on I-229 in April.

Jacey Gail Grom is charged with involuntary manslaughter for the death of Corbin Watts. Investigators say Watts was hit by Grom’s vehicle while she was allegedly driving under the influence and speeding on the elevated portion of the interstate.

A plea of not guilty was entered during her arraignment this week in Buchanan County Circuit Court.

Judge Daniel Kellogg scheduled a trial setting June 30. The defendant is free on $25,000 bail.
