Three people were injured in a traffic accident south of Polo in Caldwell County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a car that had stopped to turn left was hit from behind along Missouri Highway 13 at Via Rosa Drive.

Two occupants in the lead vehicle suffered moderate injuries. 50-year-old Mary Bush of Kingston and 53-year-old Janette Busick of Polo were transported to Liberty Hospital.

The other driver, Katie Jones, 23, of Richmond, suffered minor injuries but refused medical treatment.
