Sign-ups are being taken for a fundraising event involving coffee and the arts to benefit the Missoula Children’s Theatre.
The St. Joseph Performing Arts Association and Café Pony Espresso are teaming up for a new Coffee & Canvas fundraiser to help to offset the costs of the Missoula Children’s Theatre.
The event will be held Friday, July 22 at 6:30 p.m. at Pony Espresso located at 114 S 8th St. in downtown St. Joseph. Local artist and muralist Tracie Irvan will help participants to create their own artwork. The cost for the evening is $35.00. All supplies are provided. However, seating is limited to 20 patrons.
Proceeds will benefit the Saint Joseph Performing Arts Association and provide funds to continue the Children’s Theatre.
Beth Sharp with the Arts Association said Missoula Children’s Theatre is a week-long residency for local children put on by a team of two from Missoula, Montana. The week starts with an open audition, followed by a week of rehearsals, culminating in a full-fledged theatrical production open to the public. The next Missoula Residency will be Rapunzel from November 28 through December 3.
