Manslaughter charges filed in fatal crash

MSHP badge goldA crash Friday in Holt county claimed the life of an Oregon, Missouri man, and sent a Mound City man to jail on charges of involuntary manslaughter.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol identifies the victim as 75-year-old Russell Neiderhouse. The crash report says he was killed when Robert Brandon of Mound City turned left along Route-N and hit Neiderhouse’s vehicle.

The accident happened two miles north of Mound city at Route-HH at 11:19am Friday. By Saturday, Mr Brandon was charged with involuntary manslaughter involving a vehicle and an intoxicated driver.

Online court documents do not reflect bail or when the defendant is due in court for a first appearance.
