riggertMustangsThe St. Joseph Mustangs picked up their second consecutive win Saturday night as they defeated Branson 10-4 inside Phil Welch Stadium.

St. Joe’s summer college baseball team improves to 18-7 this season and 13-7 in the MINK League.

Dixon Marble, making his last start in a Mustangs’ uniform, threw a complete game to earn his third win of the season.  Marble is leaving the team to return home to witness the birth of his first child.

Marble is in his fourth year with St. Joseph and he now has 12 career wins.  He scattered nine hits and allowed four runs while striking out eight and walking just one.

Davey Casciola had two hits and scored three runs, while Brett Marr had a single and three RBI.  Kyle Uhrich and Louis Mele added two RBI each.

The Mustangs are back on the road Sunday as they play at Nevada.  The first pitch is at 7:00 p.m. from Lyons Stadium.
