Third Parkway shooting suspect sentenced to prison

Gerald Johnson Jr frontA third man has been sentenced after a shooting incident last year in St. Joseph that left another man in serious condition.

Gerald Johnson Jr. was sentenced Tuesday to 22-years behind bars in connection with a shooting in December in the 3000 block of Parkway A that left Trevor Keith seriously hurt.

Johnson pleaded guilty in April to felonies for second-degree assault and armed criminal action.  He was given seven years for the assault charge and 15 years for armed criminal action with the sentences to run consecutive to another sentences he’s currently serving eight years on.

Two other defendants were also sentenced earlier this year.

Adrian Taylor got 32-years in the case and Brandon Parker was sentenced to serve 9-years consecutive with another case he’s currently serving 7-years on.
