The St. Joseph Aquatic Park will be closed until this weekend due to sanitation concerns.

The City Parks, Recreation and Civic Facilities said Thursday as a precautionary measure the pool will be closed to all swim lessons, practice and public session so employees can sanitize the water and ensure it has the proper ph level.  The park is anticipated to be closed until Saturday at the earliest.

“Once the water levels are appropriate for swimming, the pool will be re-opened,” the city said in a news release. “Recognizing that many of our patrons will be disappointed, we encourage them to use Krug Pool as an alternative for swimming on Friday.  To help those that want to swim, we are extending the hours that Krug Pool will be open.”

Krug will be open from 11 am. to 7 p.m. Friday.  The admission price is $3/children 8 and under and $4 for everyone else.
