Autumn “Autie” Rain Rowland 14, of Savannah, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2016 in Savannah, MO. She was born October 29, 2001 in St. Joseph, MO. She graduated from Savannah Middle School. She loved to sing, listen to music, hang out with her friends, play with her animals, wrestle with her brother, write short stories and draw. Survivors include, her mother & father, Tina & Robert “Bob” Moore, brother, Jacob Rowland, half brother, Austin Mauldin, half sisters, Jasmine & Asia Lewis, maternal grandparents, William and Teresa Saunders of St. Joseph, MO, maternal great grandmother, Helen Sexton of Kansas City, MO., paternal grandmother, Verena (Doug) Moore of Savannah, MO, paternal great grandmother, Dorothy Moore of Savannah, MO, maternal great grandparents, Violet and Louie Springs of Faucett, MO, paternal grandparents, Mary and Jeff Greenlee of Iowa, and several aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 am, on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Rupp Funeral Home, with Rev. Steve Sewell officiating, The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday at the Rupp Funeral Home. The Interment will be at the Savannah Cemetery. Memorials are requested to the Autumn Rowland Memorial Fund in care of Rupp Funeral Home.
Michael George Meier
1951-2016
Kansas City, Kansas Michael George Meier, 65, of Kansas City, Kansas passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at the Shawnee Mission Medical Center. Michael was born on March 1. 1951 in Oregon, Missouri to Eugene and Pearle (Drake) Meier. He graduated from Troy High School in 1970 and went on to Highland Community College in Highland, Kansas to play football.
Michael retired from the U.S. Army with 25 plus years of service at the rank of Master Sergeant and then in March of this year retired from General Services Administrations (GSA). Michael was a member of the Troy Legion Post #55.
He married Debra (Larson) Meier on April 20, 1986 at the St. John’s Lutheran Church of Bendena, Kansas. She survives of the home.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Pearle (Drake) Meier and a brother, Edwin (Butch) Meier.
Additional survivors include two sons; Eric Meier of Tonganoxie, Kansas and Aaron Meier of Kansas City, Kansas and one daughter, Danielle (Dani) Meier of North Kansas City, Missouri. Three grandchildren; Maison, Kennedee and Brodie Meier. A brother, John Floyd Meier of Troy, Kansas and two sisters; Linda (Meier) Wilkerson of St. Joseph, Missouri and Tereasa (Meier) Lopez (David) also of St. Joseph, Missouri, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Thomas E. Tracy, 65, St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Thursday, July 21, 2016 at his home.
He was born April 28, 1951 in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Thomas married Barbara Miller on June 27, 1970. She preceded him in death on May 7, 2014.
He loved to hunt, fish and enjoyed outdoor activities. Thomas was well loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, John and Lita (Locklin) Tracy; brothers, Johnny, Charles and Archie Tracy; and sisters, Pat Coffee, Joy Christofferson, Mary Quinn, Linda Tracy and Juanita Adair.

Janie Rae Hawkins 71, of Saint Joseph, Missouri passed away Thursday July 21, 2016 at Mosaic Life Care in Saint Joseph. She was born January 7, 1945 in Parker, Arizona daughter of Betty & Ronnie Greg. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed taking care of her family and vacationing in New Mexico. Janie was preceded in death by her husband, John Patrick Hawkins and her parents. She is survived by her children, Kenneth (Megan) Hawkins, St. Joseph, MO, John Hawkins, Jr. of Omaha, NE, Brian (Jennifer) Bernard of Saint Joseph, MO, Amanda Hawkins of Los Angeles, CA, Joseph (Kaylah) Hawkins of Hamilton, MO, and Eldon Hawkins of St. Joseph, MO, sixteen, grandchildren, a sister, Cindy Gonzalez of Cypress, CA, and a brother, Ronnie Greg of Chino Hills, CA. Billie Joan Anderson Falk, 80, Atchison, Kansas, died Saturday, July 23, 2016 at the Atchison Hospital.
Mass of Christian burial will be Thursday, July 28, 2016 at 10:00 AM at St. Benedict’s Church with Fr. Jeremy Heppler, OSB as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. A parish rosary will be recited on Wednesday, July 27, at 6:00 PM in the chapel of the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home with visitation to follow until 7:30 PM. The family asks that friends come dressed in golf attire to the visitation and funeral. Memorial contributions are suggested to Maur Hill-Mount Academy and may be left in care of the funeral home.
Joan was born on January 7, 1936 to Dr. Winston L Anderson and Ethel Honora Mullins Anderson in Atchison, Kansas. She attended St. Benedict’s Grade School, Mount St. Scholastica Academy and Benedictine College.
She and Wm. H. Falk were united in marriage on August 8, 1959 at St. Benedict’s Church in Atchison. Mr. Falk preceded her in death on November 24, 1992.
Joan worked as a manager at Snow Creek Ski Resort for thirty years in the food service; she also worked as a book keeper. She coached golf at Benedictine College and
She was an avid golfer and a member of Bellevue Country Club. She served as the President of the Bellevue Country Club Women’s Golf Association, she was a USGA rules official and a committee member of the Kansas Women’s Golf Association. She was a lifelong member of St. Benedict’s Parish in Atchison.

Helen Krstolic, 103, Atchison, KS, formerly of Kansas City, KS, died Sunday, July 24, 2016 at the Mount St. Scholastica Dooley Center.

Helen was born January 17, 1913 in Kansas City, Kansas the daughter of Frank and Louise (Cop) Laurich. She lived in Wyandotte County, KCK on Strawberry Hill; a “tight” Croation ethnic neighborhood in walking distance from church and school.
She and Anthony Krstolic were united in marriage on June 27, 1936 in Kansas City, KS. Tony preceded her in death on February 27, 1974 after 37 years of marriage.
Helen was “Rosie the Riveter” at the Fairfax district in KCK building B-25s. She was a housewife and homemaker. She loved to cook and she could cook very well. Her meals were simple, yet simply delicious. Her povatica and strudels, apple and cheese, were to die for. She was a very hospitable person and everyone was welcome in her home and greeted with “Are you hungry? Can I get you anything?”
Survivors include her daughter, Sister Constance “Connie” Krstolic, OSB, Atchison, KS, and a sister Lillian Beasley, Kansas City, KS.
She was predeceased by five sisters and two brothers.
Richard A. “Dick” Martinez
1943-2016
Richard A. “Dick” Martinez, 73, St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Sunday, July 24, 2016 at Mosaic Life Care.
He was born January 9, 1943.
Richard married Rita Anderson, August 26, 1972; she preceded him in death on June 8, 2011.
Dick loved golfing, classic cars, fishing, football, baseball, and basketball. His family was his whole world and he would do anything for them and his friends. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and worked as an accountant at AGP for over forty years before retiring.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, Casimiro and Dolores (Bravo) Martinez.
Survivors include children, Jeff Martinez (Ann) and Heather Martinez-CDeBaca (Dominic); grandchildren, Ava Martinez, Catherine Martinez, Isabela CDeBaca and Jackson CDeBaca; brother, Casimiro “Marty” Martinez, Jr. (Carolyn); sister, Stephanie Martinez-Spitznagle; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
