Two people were killed and a third was injured in a single-vehicle crash east of Chillicothe on Sunday morning.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says Larry Braun of Alberta, Canada lost control of his pickup along U.S. Highway 36, 3.5 miles east of Chillicothe at 9am Sunday.

The vehicle hit an embankment, went airborne across a county road and came to rest on its top. Two passengers, Lesley Oman, 58, and Sharee Oman, 56, both of Saskatchewan, Canada were killed in the crash. Braun was transported to Truman Medical Center for treatment of moderate injuries.
