Green, James Obit photoJames A. Green, 96, Gower, Missouri, formally of St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Monday, August 1, 2016 at a local healthcare facility.
He was born December 30, 1919 in Dearborn, Missouri.
James married Kathleen DeMoss on December 24, 1941
He proudly served in the United States Army during WWII.
James was a member of the Brotherhood Lodge No. 269, A.F.& A.M. He enjoyed fishing and gardening.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, Robert Dallen; and sisters, Marjorie Kyle and Janetta Lagerman.
Survivors include wife of 74 years, Kathleen; children, Rose Dallen, Joyce Carnes (Larry), Jimmy Green, and Bill Green (Amber); nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister, Rose Oliver; brother, Donnie Green (Mary Lee); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Farewell Services 10:00 A.M. Thursday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Dearborn Community Cemetery. The family will gather with friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. He attended Central High School and worked at I&M Machine. He was a Christian. James was preceded in death by mother, Shirley Mae Scott, and brother, David William Scott. Survivors include, father, Walter Lee Scott of the home, brother, Jarrod Scott, sister, Diana Scott, sister-in-law, Shelly Scott of St. Joseph, MO, daughter, Serenity, girlfriend, Stacy Hayden, and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Friday with a funeral service to be conducted at 2:00 pm, on Friday, August 5, 2016 at Rupp Funeral Home, with Rev. James Kerns officiating. The Inurnment will be at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery at a later date. Memorials are requested to the James Scott Memorial fund.

He was born October 10, 1955 in St. Joseph, Missouri.
He enjoyed fishing and watching wrestling.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Ruth (Miller) Steeby; and brother, James Steeby.
Survivors include nephew, Dustin Steeby (Kristy), Chillicothe, Missouri; niece, Linda Zacklene (David), Savannah, Missouri; three great-nieces, Laney, Sara and Jamy; one great-nephew, Maison; and three aunts, June Bauer (Bob) and Helen Stoneman.

Michael Scott Cunningham
1969-2016

Michael Scott Cunningham, 47, of Everest, KS, died Tuesday morning, August 2, 2016, at Mosiac Life Center in St. Joseph, Missouri, from injuries he received earlier in a tractor trailer accident near Iatan, Missouri.
Mike was born January 16, 1969, at Hillsboro, Oregon, one of five children born to Walter and Rose Grigsby Cunningham and moved with his family at a young age to Highland, where he grew up, attended school, and graduated from Highland High School. He worked at the grocery store in Highland before hauling grain and working about 10 years for Jerry Blevins farms of Highland. Mike had driven a tractor-trailer truck for Tom Stirton Trucking of Horton in recent years.
He was married to Valorie Daniel, September 18, 2009, at Hiawatha. They have made Everest their home. She survives.
Also surviving are a son Dalton Scott Cunningham of Oklahoma; three daughters: Teena Schelper and Julie Berrones, both of California, Mallory Cunningham of Topeka; his parents: Walter and Rose Cunningham of Highland; two brothers: Craig Cunningham of Highland, David Cunningham of Elwood; two sisters: Brenda Harvey of Kansas City, KS, Melissa Cunningham of Highland; three grandchildren: Atlas Berrones, Kaedyn and Kairee Schelper.
Memorial Services are planned for 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 9, at the Community of Christ Church in Fanning, with Kathleen Twombly officiating.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Michael Cunningham Memorial Fund which may be sent in care of Chapel Oaks Funeral Home, PO Box 33, Highland, KS 66035.

Karen Sue Baskins

Wathena, Kansas – Karen Sue Baskins, 67, of Wathena, Kansas passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at the Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Karen was born on August 21, 1948 and raised by her grandparents, Joe & Cora Sisk Sr.
She graduated Highland High School in 1968 & Missouri Western in 1995. She worked as a social worker & DCEC as a Para.
Karen married Gary Baskins on September 15, 1967 in Highland, Kansas. He preceded her in death on January 6, 2010. She was also preceded in death by her grandparents, brothers, Billy Joe & James “Biscuit” Sisk & a nephew, R.O. Sisk.
Survivors: daughter, Angela Baskins (Bill Powers) of Independence, Missouri;
Son, Charles Baskins of Troy, Kansas;
Niece, Jennifer Bethards;
Sister, Veronica Sisk of St. Joseph, Missouri;

Marvin Ray Sisk 77, of King City, Missouri, formely St. Joseph, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at his home. He was born March 10, 1939 in St. Joseph, MO, son of late Jesse and Ira Sisk. He graduated from Benton High School and retired from Coca Cola as a Salesperson after 35 years of service. Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, 6 brothers, Melvin, Marion, Jack, Arley, Walter and Wendel Sisk, 3 sisters; Rose Marie Cannon, Darlene Dakin, and Lucy Adams. Survivors include, daughter, Wendy Sisk of St. Joseph, MO, companion, Joseph Merrick of the home, and a brother, Claude Sisk. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday at the Rupp Funeral Home. The Inurnment will be at a later date at the Odd Fellows Public Cemetery St. Joseph, MO.

She worked at various Nursing Homes and Hospital. She loved to cook and bake. Carol was preceded in death by her infant daughter, and her parnets. She is survived by husband, Dave Riley of Saint Joseph, MO, son, Steven Moore of St. Joseph, MO, 3 brothers, Melvin Hopper, Jr. of CA, Mike Hopper, and John Hopper, 5 sisters, Nancy Johnson, Mary Hiney of St. Joseph, MO, Patty Jungk, Tina Hopper, and Melissa Hopper. She will be cremated under the direction of the Rupp Funeral Home.There are no scheduled visitation or memorial services at this time.
