A Maryville man was seriously injured after a one vehicle crash Sunday night in Nodaway County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 40-year-old James A. Rasmussen was driving south on Route KK, five miles north of Burlington Junction around 6:15 p.m., when he lost control of his vehicle. The Dodge 1500 traveled off the west side of the road, hit a drain culvert, went airborne and landed on its wheels.

Rasmussen was transported by ambulance to St. Francis Hospital and then to Mosaic Life Care with serious injuries.
