Capt. Jeff Wilson said shortly before 9 p.m. officers responded to the area of Cottonwood Creek apartments located at 3601 Gene Field Rd. He said witnesses said a couple of individuals were driving around in a car, one reportedly shooting a weapon in the air several times.

When officers arrived on scene they recovered shell casings. After investigating a 21-year-old St. Joseph resident was arrested.
