Temporary road closures will take place over upcoming weeks in DeKalb County due to a wind farm project.
The Missouri Department of Transportation said because of the project large cranes will be moving across Routes 31, 6, J and N at various times during the upcoming weeks. MoDOT said this will require full road closures at times for up to four hours.
The first closure is set for Route 31 north of Glenwood Rd. just southeast of Union Star Sunday at 9 p.m. MoDOT said it’s not expected to last longer than four hours. The closure will be 0.3 miles north of Glenwood Road on Route 31.
Each of the towers will require multiple, slow-moving, oversized loads with police escorts navigating to each tower location. This may cause local travelers some delays.
