Road work beginning soon in Clinton County

MoDOT LogoST. JOSEPH, Mo. – After an earlier delay, resurfacing projects are set to begin in Clinton County.

Beginning this week, a crew from Herzog Contracting Corp., working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, will begin prepping for the project. Then on Tuesday, Sept. 6, they will begin paving on Route Y. They will close one lane of Route Y in two-mile sections between Route K in Stewartsville and Route NN.

Following the work on Route Y, the crew will begin resurfacing on Route VV between Route N and U.S. Route 169 in Gower. It will also include lane closures in two-mile sections.

A pilot car will be used to guide motorists through the work zones. The contractor plans to work daylight hours Monday through Friday, but could work on Saturdays, if needed. The work is scheduled to take one month to complete.
