Police are investigating after a burglary at the Casey’s General Store at 401 East Hyde Park in St. Joseph Monday morning.

According to St. Joseph Police, the break in occurred around 1 a.m. Monday when a suspect broke a window. Police said it appears the suspect tried to get into something in the manager’s office and then into a cash register. The suspect was unable to get into the register but took cigarettes from the store.

The incident is under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call the TIPS Hotline at (816) 238-TIPS.
