KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Missouri Western Women’s Golfer Shi Qing Ong was named MIAA Women’s Golf Athlete of the Week.  Ong won the Central Region Preview this past Tuesday, Sept. 6 and Wednesday, Sept. 7 at Prairie Highland Golf Course in Olathe, Kansas after shooting a 149.

She tapped in five birdie opportunities on the second day, finishing with a 73 after a day one total of 76.  Last season, Ong was named MIAA Freshman of the Year after helping the Griffons advance to their first ever NCAA Championship.
