Two seriously hurt in Atchison County crash

A traffic crash Saturday evening in Atchison County, Missouri sent two Nebraska residents to the hospital.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the driver of a pickup truck tried to overtake a passenger car as it was turning left off of U.S. Highway 136 at Route D west of Rock Port at 5:20 pm Saturday. The truck hit the rear driver’s side of the car.

The driver of the truck was not injured. He’s identified as Todd Tanner, 28, of Kansas City, Missouri. The two occupants of the car were seriously hurt and were transported to hospitals in Nebraska. They are identified as Paula Robbins, 64, and William Robbins, 65, both of Fairbury, Nebraska.
