Woman held without bail in domestic stabbing case

A St Joseph woman is being held without bail after a stabbing incident over the weekend. St. Joseph police say a man walked walked about ten blocks to the Law Enforcement Center Saturday morning with critical stab wounds.

According to online court records, 54-year-old Melva Jemaine Moore was charged with 2nd degree domestic assault, a class-C felony. Police have not released the name of the victim, who is reported in critical condition at Mosaic Life Care.

A first court appearance is scheduled Tuesday before Judge Rebecca Spencer.
