St Joseph police say two people were hurt in a traffic accident shortly after 7am that shut down traffic on St. Joseph Ave.

The single vehicle crash snapped a power pole just north of the intersection of St. Joseph Ave. and Middleton.

By 9am, utility crews were replacing the pole.  Northbound traffic was still blocked.

We do not know the extent or nature of the injuries.  Two people were transported to Mosaic Life Care for treatment.
