A race involving donuts will help to fund several area attractions.
The second annual Donut Dash will be held Saturday, Oct. 22. The St. Joseph Chamber of Commerce said funds raised will benefit Mount Mora Cemetery, Patee House Museum and Robidoux Row Museum.
The run/walk 5K starts at Gold-N-Glaze Donuts & Coffee Shop and features the museums and cemetery along the way.
“What a perfect way to highlight and raise money for some of St. Joseph’s gems: Mount Mora Cemetery, Robidoux Row and the Patee House than to walk or run past them on a nice fall morning,” said Natalie Redmond, Vice President of Membership for the St. Joseph Chamber of Commerce. “Adding a trip down Mausoleum Row adds a bit of spookiness and extra bit of history to the October event, and the extra length may allow runners to have an extra donut.”
The run will begin at 8 a.m. at Gold-N-Glaze, 1825 Frederick Ave. Cost is $25 for those who pre-register or $35 the day of the run.
