KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Missouri Western Women’s Golfer Shi Qing Ong was named MIAA Women’s Golf Athlete of the Week. Ong won the Bearcat Classic at Mozingo Golf Course in Maryville, Missouri this past week.

After ending the first day with a 76, Ong dropped five strokes off of her second day score to finish 1-under par at 71. Ong won the tournament with a 3-over par score of 147.

For the fall season, Ong finished top ten in all five events, winning or tying for first in three of the five tournaments. This is the second time she has been named MIAA Women’s Golf Athlete of the Week this season.
