A woman was injured in Harrison County Wednesday morning after allegedly swerving to avoid hitting a cow.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 53-year-old Christine Lofgren of New Hampton, was driving southbound on west 150th Ave. around 5:30 a.m. when she swerved to avoid a cow in the roadway. Lofgren’s 2003 Ford Explorer went off the east side of the roadway, back into the road then into a ditch.
Lofgren was taken by ambulance to Northwest Medical Center in Albany for treatment of moderate injuries. She was reported to be wearing her seat belt.
