SE Kansas crash kills Yates Center man

KHP logoA Kansas man was killed Thursday evening in a crash between two pickups in southeastern Kansas.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says Ira Van Arsdale was driving along Hereford Road at 190th Road in Woodson County when his truck was hit broadside by another truck.

The 69-year-old Yates Center man was killed in the crash. The other driver, Joseph Rotina, 67, of Yates Center suffered unspecified injuries and was trnasported to Coffey County Hospital.

The crash happened nearly ten miles northwest of Yates Center just before 5pm Thursday.
