Chance of showers and thunderstorms today and tomorrow

weather-10-25Active weather is expected to return to the area beginning this evening into Wednesday morning. Here’s the 7-day forecast from the National Weather Service:

Today: Patchy drizzle between 9 a.m and 3 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 73. Southeast wind 8 to 13 mph.

Tonight: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 1 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 62. Southeast wind 11 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Wednesday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 1 p.m. Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 72. Southwest wind around 10 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Wednesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 46. North northwest wind 5 to 7 mph becoming calm after midnight.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 70. Calm wind becoming south around 6 mph in the afternoon.

Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 54.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 79.

Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 54.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 70.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 46.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 67.

Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 51.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 75.
