She was born February 27, 2001 in St. Joseph.
Taylor was a Sophomore at Central High School in St. Joseph Missouri.
She loved Batman and everything his character stood for. She was very artistic, adventurous and loved animals and her family.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandfather, Clarence Miller; grandfather, James Burns
Survivors include mother, Nataisha Miller-Hall(James); father, AJ Casiano (Charlie); brother, Quintyn Miller; sisters, Isabella and Mya Casiano; grandmothers, Beverly Miller(Kenneth Langston), Malisa Casiano, Annette Burns; great-grandmother, Anita Miller; numerous aunts ,uncles, cousins and extended beloved family members.
The family suggest anyone attending the service to please wear Batman apparel in honor of Taylor.
Farewell Services 1:00 P.M. Friday, First Baptist Church. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Martina L. Contreras

She was born July 7, 1957 in St. Joseph, MO, daughter of the late Norma and Pedro “Pete” Contreras. She graduated from Benton High School and worked at Tiffany Square as a CNA. She enjoyed spending time with her family and nieces and nephews. She was a Christian. Martina was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Condelario, Carlos, and David Contreras. Survivors include, five sisters, Cassimeda (Dennis) Contreras, Maria (Dennis) Shifflett, Joannona Owens, Celestina (Francisco) Gonzalez, and Guadalupe “Freedom” Contreras, two brothers, Pedro “Pete” (Cindy) Contreras, and Thomas (Kristina) Contreras. several, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews, adopted sister, Jody Carter. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM, with a Rosary to be recited at 1:30 PM and funeral services to follow starting at 2:00 PM on Friday at the Rupp Funeral Home, with Rev. Albert Shirley officiating. The Interment will be at the Mount Olivet Cemetery. Memorials are requested to the Martina Contreras Memorial fund in care of the Rupp Funeral Home.

Loren J. Becker
1935-2016

unnamedLoren J. Becker, 81, Easton, Kansas died Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Golden Living Colonial Manor in Lansing, Kansas.
Funeral services will be Monday, October 31, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home with Rev. Jeremy Heppler, OSB officiating. Interment will follow in St. Peter’s and Paul Cemetery, Seneca, Kansas. Visitation with the family will be Monday, Oct. 31st from Noon until 1:00 P.M. with a rosary recitation at 12:45 P.M. Memorial contributions are suggested to Fleming-Jackson-Seever Post #6 of the American Legion in Atchison and may be left in care of the funeral home.
Loren was born January 30, 1935 in Seneca, Kansas the son of George E. and Josephine Lueb Becker. He attended St. Peter’s and Paul Catholic Elementary School and graduated from St. Peter’s and Paul Catholic High School in Seneca.
He enlisted in the United States Air Force from May 1955 until his honorable discharge in May 1960. Serving as a mechanic on the B52 Bomber.
Loren was employed as a technician for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for thirty years retiring in 1990.
Loren was a member of the catholic faith. He was a member of V.F.W. Post #1175 and the Fleming-Jackson-Seever Post #6 of the American Legion both in Atchison, Kansas.
He and Betty Medsker were united in marriage on March 15, 1986 in Atchison, Kansas. Mrs. Becker preceded him in death on January 1, 2013.
Survivors include two step-daughters, Sandy (Larry) Gilliland, Easton, KS; Pat Goodman, Leavenworth, KS; a sister, Norma G. Quinlan, Seneca, KS; three step-grandchildren, Darren (Debbie) Gilliland, Robert (Marie) Gilliland, Josh (Jill) Goodman, and four great step-grandchildren, Courtney Goodman, Logan Goodman, Erin Gilliland, and Kerry Gilliland.
Loren was preceded in death by two step sons, Robert Goodman and Mike Goodman.

Frances Darlene Thomas
1940-2016

unnamedFrances Darlene Thomas, 75, of Saint Joseph, Missouri passed away Wednesday October 26, 2016 in a Saint Joseph health care center. She was born October 31, 1940 in Raymore, Kansas, and lived in Albequeque, NM and King Fish, Oklahoma before moving back to St. Joseph. She was proud of her Native American heritage as a member of the Choctaw and Seminole Indian Tribes. She graduated from Benton High School, and worked at Whitaker Cable and Walmart as a Cashier. She also bartended for 48 years at several establishments in New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Missouri. She loved to travel and go to Vegas on a whim. She enjoyed going to the casino, and she was a huge football fan, especially the San Francisco 49rs. Darlene also enjoyed traveling back to her Benton High School reunions, and her Whitaker Cable Club friends. To her Barron family, she was always known as “Grandma”. Darlene was preceded in death by her father, William P. Davidson, step-father, Clarence Halpain, and mother Myrtle “Edna” Halpain, a great grandson, Kain Barron, and a sister, Valerie Davidson. She is survived by daughter, Carmen Davidson of St. Joseph, MO, mother,four grandchildren: Shauna(Mark)Davidson Barron, Michelle Ogden, Reanna Ogden, and Victoria Ogden, great grandchildren, Kennadi, Angelo, Diego Barron, and J.K. Steltenpohl, a brother, Bill (Nicki) Davidson. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM Tuesday with a Memorial Service to follow at 7:00 PM at the Rupp Funeral Home. She will be cremated under the direction of the Rupp Funeral Home.

Elwood, Kansas Beverly Jane Dale, 85, of Elwood, Kansas passed away Thursday, October 27, 2016 at the Mosaic Life Care of St. Joseph, Missouri.
Beverly was born on March 26, 1931 in Wathena, Kansas to Otto & Flora (Blum) Hoffman.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Wathena, Kansas.
Beverly was an owner and operator of many businesses in Elwood, Kansas, including the Skyline Motel, restaurant and bar. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Otto Hoffman Jr. & Wallace “Boots” Hoffman, sister, Phyllis Fetter.
Survivors; son, Dennis Triggs (Lori) of St. Joseph, Missouri His children, Matthew Triggs, Noah Triggs, Ashley Jonas and the late Haley Triggs. Daughters, Cynthia Ryan (the late Patrick Ryan) of Kansas City, Missouri Her children, Shawn Ryan (Brittany) and Lyndsay Ryan Dorothy Dale of Oak Grove, Missouri Bridgette Thomas (Kyle) of Wathena, Kansas 7 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews

Morris was born on September 12, 1936 in Wathena, Kansas to Leo P. & Dorothy Marie (Boeh) Miller.
He was of the Catholic faith. Morris farmed & worked as a mechanic. He served in the U.S. Navy.
Morris married Ruth Anne Miller on June 28, 1958. She preceded him in death on November 19, 2014. He was also preceded in death by his parents, brother, Omer Miller & a sister, Ruthie Whistler.
