Police investigating shots fired at home

silver sjpd patrol carThe St. Joseph Police Department is investigating shots fired Tuesday morning at a home on S. 17th St.

Sgt. Roy Hoskins said authorities were called out to a home in the 900 block of S. 17th St. shortly before 9 a.m. after a resident reported hearing three shots fired from outside while they were inside in the kitchen. No one was injured.

“They walked into the living room and found a bullet hole in the window frame,” Hoskins said. “No idea at this point who it may have been or if it was random or targeted.”

Hoskins said there was no vehicle description and that police currently have no suspects.

“Kind of a weird thing, not something we normally have in that area,” Hoskins said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the TIPS Hotline at (816) 238-TIPS.
