An art student at Missouri Western State University sought medical attention Monday after an incident with a nail gun.

Kent Heier, Assistant Dir of Public Relations for Western said a student in an art class accidentally put a nail through his finger with a nail gun.  The incident took place around 11 a.m.  The student refused transport by an ambulance and was taken by private vehicle to seek medical treatment.

Heier said the university cannot release any other information.
